Dedicated to Monsieur Lauwers. Text by Francois Coppée. Written for Eb major (Enoch plate 1978), Db major (medium tone????, Enoch 1136) and Gb (medium key, Enoch plate 1919, published in 1891). Beginning with the line “Dans la plaine blonde et sous les aillées” (Over the fresh fields and down thro’ the valley), the text speaks of a serene journey through nature, celebrating the beauty of the landscape and the harmonious relationship between the poet and the muse.
The Gb major manuscript is held by the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
