Originally a song titled Chanson espagnole, it was later transcribed for piano by Chaminade herself and published in 1895. The piece is characterized by its lyrical melody, evocative rhythms, and Spanish-inspired harmonies. Orchestrated by Victor Charmettes in 1926.
