Op. 94a: Danse créole (Deuxième Havanaise)

Publisher: Enoch
Date: 1925

Instrumentation: piano four hands

Dedicated to my niece Antoinette Chaminade. The title suggests an evocation of Caribbean or Creole dance rhythms, possibly inspired by the habanera, a Cuban dance that influenced European music in the nineteenth century.
Piano: Enoch plate 3896.
Later transcribed for piano four hands: Enoch plate 8455.
Orchestration: Victor Charmettes (1926).
