These works reflect her transition from salon-style compositions to more substantial concert pieces, showcasing both technical proficiency and expressive depth. This collections of pieces were later published as individual pieces.

Automne: one of Queen Victoria’s favorite pieces, remained immensely popular throughout Chaminade’s lifetime. Even 25 years after its publication, it continued to enjoy remarkable success. In 1913, over 8,000 copies were sold (De Guichard, Arthur. “Cécile Chaminade.” The Musician 19 March 1914, p. 165). Automne was transcribed to violin and piano by Henry Geehl in 1943 (Edwin Ashdown.
