This work is a piano transcription of Chaminade’s earlier song Ritournelle (W265), set to a poem by François Coppée. The solo piano version was published in 1886 (Enoch plate 2795) and was later arranged for violin and piano in 1903 (Enoch plate 5591), piano four hands in 1923 (Enoch plate 8241). Very easy piano probably by Weyler?? and Victor Charmettes also orchestrated the work in 1925.
